Employee of the Month

It is with great honor I introduce to you our employee of the month, Valdas Underis. Valdas comes to our team with an impressive educational and professional background. His professionalism, empathy, kindness, and patience is demonstrated daily in his role.

Valdas is a loving and caring father of three children. He was born and raised in Lithuania, one of the three Baltic Sea countries. Throughout his life, he has been striving to help people, he graduated from Vilnius University with a master degree in psychology. After graduating he worked as Psychologist, Internal Trainer, HR Manager and Marketing Manager at the largest insurance company in Lithuania. After that he worked at ISM University of Management and Economics. There he was Director of Administration and Lecturer in the Master of Management studies.

Later, he established his own management consulting firm in Lithuania, where he conducted Strategic Management and Leadership, Negotiation, Change Management, Personal Efficiency training courses for various companies in Lithuania, Latvia, Russia and Kazakhstan. He is also a Certified Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Trainer of DiSC Personality System and Coaching Supervisor. He has had internships in the UK, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. For the past 7 years, he has been working on methodologies to enhance a safe work culture, developing innovative safe behavior training tools and programs.

“I like to learn new things and gain new experiences. I always try to get to know people and understand their needs and problems. I have been caring for my sick parents for several years.”

A year ago he came with his family to live and work in the U.S. because his wife won the Green Card Lottery and he and his family decided they wanted to see for themselves the country they had heard a lot about.

“Now I want to help older people enjoy life, ease their worries, get stronger after illness and brighten their daily lives. I I'm excited I can learn all this from real professionals working at NorthShore Home Care.”
